A. Introduction to Official YouTube Artist Channel

Have you ever noticed a music note next to the YouTube Channel of one of your favorite artists? In fact, it's simply an official artist channel. This allows you to have access to a panel of analytical tools and interactions with your fans, but also to be much better identified on YouTube and no longer have the automatically generated "Topic" or "Various Artists" YouTube channels.

Thus, tracks will be directly linked to your artist channel once you are verified.

You can also have access to this verification. You just need to follow our recommendations and obtain the necessary elements.

B. Recommendations and Prerequisites

B.1 Have the rights to the tracks

You must be entirely the owner of your productions or have the rights concerning the release in question (if it's a cover, remix, etc.).

B.2 Respect YouTube community conditions

Before having an Official Artist Channel, make sure your classic YouTube channel complies with YouTube community regulations. Therefore, don't display elements like: cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, violence, sex, etc. in your profile picture/banner.

Your channel must not have been subject to previous warnings.

• 3 music videos for which you own the rights (a simple cover with music in the background is not considered a music video).
• The tracks featured in the videos must be distributed on YouTube Music.
• You must be a beneficiary of YouTube Content ID on the 3 videos concerned.

• The link to your YouTube channel
• The links to the 3 music videos
• The links to tracks auto-generated by YouTube (From Topic & Various Artists channels)

NB: We can make a request for our catalog once per month. The deadlines are therefore important, it can take from several weeks to several months.

YouTube reserves the right to accept/refuse access to an "Official Artist Channel" even if you meet the requested criteria.

D. Use & Benefits of This Verification

D.1 Referencing

The first point is unavoidable: it's referencing when searching for your name. You will appear at the top of the list (or almost) and at the top right of YouTube. Thus, you will be easily found on platforms, which is decisive for gaining credibility and visibility.

The link between your YouTube "Official Artist Channel" and your concerts registered with different partners will be made automatically.

D.4 Be active

YouTube also reserves a space dedicated to your fans where you can make posts like on Facebook, post images, short videos as well as polls.
