📢 Why does YouTube create a "Topic" channel for my music?

When your music is distributed through Wiseband, YouTube automatically creates a "Topic" channel to group your tracks on YouTube Music.

This channel is generated automatically by YouTube and cannot be manually removed.

However, this "Topic" channel is important because it allows you to request an Official Artist Channel (OAC).

🚀 How do I turn my "Topic" channel into an Official Artist Channel (OAC) with Wiseband?

To request an OAC through Wiseband, you must meet YouTube’s eligibility requirements:

1️⃣ Have an active YouTube artist channel

Your channel must contain content related to your musical activity.

2️⃣ Have distributed your music through Wiseband on YouTube Music

3️⃣ Have at least 3 officially released tracks

4️⃣ Be the owner or manager of your personal YouTube channel

If you meet these requirements, contact our Wiseband support team and provide:

  • The link to your personal YouTube channel
  • Your artist name

We will then submit the request to YouTube to merge your personal channel and your "Topic" channel into an Official Artist Channel.

🔴 Why not remove the "Topic" channel right away?

The "Topic" channel is automatically created by YouTube and remains active until your OAC is approved.

It allows your music to:

  • Be available on YouTube Music
  • Maintain visibility while waiting for your Official Artist Channel validation
